Three reasons to never bother with a Patent initially:
1.) Takes too long and is too expensive with your application ‘shared’ via EMAIL to other inventors and corporations on the Patent Office mailing list!
2.) You are NOT protected, ever. You only have “paper’ protection in your own country in which you filed the Patent and not any other country in this world. Additionally, you are responsible for filing law suits against any infringements against your patents. This is expensive, time consuming, and a never ending bad deal for any small inventor.
3.) There are better, easier ways to protect yourself. A Copyright is cheap, fast, and easy. You are better off getting your product on the market and making money right away than waiting for a Patent to be processed and ultimately never protected.
